Tree Planting Day at Brookwell Harmony School.

National Elimu Tree Planting Day

Brookwell Harmony School Nanyuki responded to the government’s request that all schools plant trees on National Elimu Tree Planting Day with an impressive demonstration of community, nationalism, spirit, and environmental responsibility. One hundred seedlings were donated by Woodchem Traders Limited for planting in the school compound. Children, parents, teachers, church officials, and scouts were among the teams that graced the occasion.

In response to the Kenyan government’s initiative and request to increase tree cover by at least 10% by 2030, Woodchem Traders Limited is collaborating with other community and national groups in tree planting activities.

Additionally, since treated wood prolongs the poles’ life, we urge everyone to use it. Treated wooden poles last longer, so there’s less need for regular replacements. By preserving wood resources, fewer trees will eventually need to be cut down, contributing to the preservation of forests and a decrease in deforestation.
